Joy of traveling with United Airlines

I am not sure how many of you love United, but lately, my experience with them has been AMAZING. I got screwed last December. Still fighting with their customer service. But thought of giving them another chance. Now I have to really think whether it was worth or not.

It's Thursday night and I am all excited to head back home. I was real lucky to check my flight online though. To my surprise, the morning flight was cancelled and I was rebooked on Saturday evening flight. Crazy!! No one from United informed me about the change. How do they expect me to know -- Black Magic!!

I am glad that I am premier member so have access to United hotline. Called them and they immediately booked me on the Friday afternoon flight. Why on Earth they didn't do on first place. Do they expect a customer to spend a Friday evening in Chicago and not with his/her family....

But it doesn't get over. I asked the reservation agent about this mis-communication. Guess what?? You got it, "Sir, Please call our customer service number for the inconvenience on Monday between 8-5:00 p.m.".... As if I don't have any better thing to do. BTW, I am impressed with the customer service. In order to get compensation for inconvenience, go through more inconvenience. Smart move....

Well, to end on positive note!! I am glad that I found out now and not tomorrow morning, after getting up early, checking out and going through all the pains.

Looks like Rochester loves me. Every time I am here, it ensures that I have a memorable trip !!
